The Process Analyst will lead the development, implementation, maintenance and support of Project Management and SDLC methodologies, process enabling tools and templates, and best practices for our client’s Information Systems (IS) department.
The position entails interaction with business units, third party vendors, Business Systems Analysts, Developers and other groups within the IS department.
role and responsibilities
- Lead the continuous evaluation, development, and improvement of Project Management and SDLC methodology and processes;
- Identify objectives and measure progress against the Project Management and Program Management maturity models;
- Lead the continuous evaluation, development and improvement of a suite of Project Management and SDLC process enabling tools, such as project repository, scheduling, time tracking, performance management, requirements gathering, test management and reporting;
- Administer, support and maintain all Project Management and SDLC process enabling tools, such as Primavera;
- Develop and maintain a library of Project Management and SDLC templates and standard forms;
- Develop a suite of training materials to promote the effective and efficient use of the Project Management and SDLC methodology, and process enabling tools and templates;
- Develop and deliver Project Management and SDLC training programs tailored to a wide variety of audiences, such as senior management, IS management, project managers, and project team members;
- Provide ongoing program, project and portfolio performance reporting to IS and company management;
- Provide coaching to IS project managers on best practices for Project Management and SDLC, and
- Assist project managers with project planning activities such as work breakdown structure development, estimation, requirement definition, and risk identification and mitigation.
qualifications
- Experience in Information Systems. (12 – 15 years experience required)
- Practical, hands-on experience managing application software and infrastructure projects. (10+ years experience required)
- A university degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Commerce, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Has completed, or is working towards, a professional Project Management certification, preferably a PMP from the Project Management Institute.
- Experience selecting, developing and implementing Project Management and SDLC processes, process enabling tools and templates are essential for success.
- Knowledge on System Development methodologies such as: Object Oriented, CMMI, Agile, UML, DSDM and ITIL/ITSM would be considered an asset.
